Semi Dry White Wine
Varietal Composition:
French Colombard (45%) and Muscat Alexandroni (15%) from the vineyard of Dror Eliraz in Moshav Lachish (Samson area).
Gewürztraminer (40%) from the vineyard of Alon Cohen in Kfar Tabor (Lower Galilee area).
Production Highlights:
All the grapes in this wine were night harvested. After pressing the must was naturally fined and each variety underwent slow cold fermentation separately in stainless steel tanks in order to preserve their rich aromatic qualities and individual characteristics. Toward the end of the process the tanks were cooled to halt fermentation in order to create a balance between the wine’s crispness and mild sweetness. The final blend was created at the end of the process.
Wine Characteristics:
This wine is a harmonious combination of the freshness of Colombard, the structure and fullness of Gewürztraminer and the profuse aromas of Muscat Alexandroni. It reveals aromas of green apple, fresh citrus and exotic flowers and fruit, and crisp fresh fruit flavors with a pleasant balance between superb tartness and mild sweetness.
Yogev Aromatic Blend is suitable for all occasions and is best served chilled (6-10 ˚C) as an aperitif or with appetizers – especially with ceviche and Far Eastern dishes.
